Course Overview

ANMEC is working with leading providers in a variety of healthcare settings in Allied Health to deliver a contemporary course responding to the needs of industry. This training enables you to work alongside allied health practitioners implementing treatment plans and therapeutic solutions in a variety of healthcare settings.

This is a great pathway for students wanting to enter the health care sector to obtain employment whilst furthering your studies after school in your chosen health care field.

Undertaking this course will provide you with skills to gain work in the health and community service industries.

ANMEC can provide the skills and knowledge that you need through the following delivery option:

12 month course part time – Delivered at ANMEC, comprising of classroom, online learning and workplace practice. This program is a VET for School program, where students complete it as part of the SACE year 11 and 12 points.

Course Days & Time

Days: To be advised

Time: 9.00am - 4.00pm or shift on placement

Structured work placement provided

Students undertake a minimum of 80 hours work placement. At ANMEC placement is conducted in a two-week block during school holidays

Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance is subsidised under the Government of South Australia’s subsidised Training Initiative. Eligibility criteria apply

  • Must be turning 16 in the year of study
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible visa holder
  • Must not have exhausted personal allocation of government funding

Pre course experiences

There are no prerequisites for this qualification, however students:

  • Must be in Year 11 or 12
  • Must be turning at least 16 in the year of study
  • Have a passion for being part of the health service industry
  • Must have completed 1 week of work experience in an Allied Health field

Special Requirements

An appointment with the VET coordinator or councillor at your school is required to enrol in this course.

Ageing: National Crime check, NDIS Worker Screening

Current Flu Vaccination

COVID vaccination may be required by the organisation for placement
